Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know
Managed vs self-managed, the control panel, Spotify, YouTube and pricing — quick answers. Still stuck? Ask on Discord.
01What's the difference between managed and self-managed?
Managed Lavalink is run for you — we install, configure, update and monitor the node, and you control it from a dedicated SSL control panel with no SSH needed. Self-managed gives you full root and file access to run your own config, JVM flags and plugins. Both run Lavalink v4 on AMD EPYC.
02Do I get a real control panel with managed Lavalink?
Yes. Every managed node has its own SSL-secured control panel on our official billing — not a raw ip:port. You get live CPU, RAM, player and latency stats, copy-ready credentials, password changes, power controls, filter and source toggles, one-click YouTube fix, credential and IP rotation, live connected-player monitoring, and a built-in node tester.
03How do I fix the YouTube "not a bot" error?
On managed Lavalink it's a single button. The Fix YouTube Error action updates youtube-source to the latest build, rotates the OAuth token, clears the old plugin jar, logs and cache, and restarts the node automatically — no tickets, no waiting.
04Is Spotify actually supported?
Yes — via LavaSrc, included on every plan. It resolves Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, Qobuz, JioSaavn, Amazon Music and more — over 30 sources from one node, with full metadata and artwork.
05How much does Lavalink hosting cost?
Self-managed Lavalink starts at ₹49/mo and managed Lavalink starts at ₹59/mo. Both include DDoS protection and run on AMD EPYC with a 99.9% uptime SLA. There's a 3-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans.
06Can I see what my bot is playing from the panel?
Yes. The managed control panel lists your live connected players with guild, channel, track title, artwork, source and a live-advancing duration for each active session — plus a built-in tester that resolves any track on your real node.
07How do I connect my bot?
After checkout you get a host, port and password from the panel. Plug them into any Lavalink client wrapper — wavelink, lavalink.py, lavalink.js, Lavalink4NET and others — for discord.py, discord.js, JDA and more.
08Can I upgrade or migrate later?
Yes. Managed upgrades are live with no re-configuration, and you can move between regions or between self-managed and managed at any time. Our team helps with migrations from other hosts on Discord.
