Get a Paid Server Almost Free by Referring Your Friends
Our referral program pays you 5% of every payment your friends make, as credit toward your own bill. Here's how it works, how to share your link, and how creators can apply for an even higher rate.

There’s the free tier, and then there’s this: turning the people you’d recommend us to anyway into credit that quietly pays down your own server. Every Kerit Cloud account comes with a referral link, and when someone signs up through it and pays, you earn 5% of every payment they make — not just their first one — as credit on your account.
Stack up enough active referrals and your monthly bill starts covering itself. Here’s exactly how it works, with the real numbers.
How the referral program works
The mechanics are simple and honest:
- You get a unique referral link tied to your account.
- A brand-new user signs up through it and buys a plan.
- Every time they pay, 5% of that payment is added to your account as credit.
- That credit is applied to your own invoices — so it directly reduces (or wipes out) what you pay.
The important word is every. This isn’t a one-time signup bonus. As long as a friend keeps their server, you keep earning 5% of each renewal, month after month.
Note: Referral earnings arrive as account credit (wallet balance), which is spent automatically against your next invoice. Think of it as a discount that grows with your network rather than a cash payout.
The math: how close to free can you get?
At 5% per payment, the credit adds up with either more referrals or bigger plans. A few realistic examples:
| Your referrals | Their plan | Your monthly credit |
|---|---|---|
| 5 friends | $5/mo bot plan | $1.25/mo |
| 10 friends | $5/mo bot plan | $2.50/mo |
| 10 friends | $4.99/mo VPS | ~$2.50/mo |
| 20 friends | mixed plans (~$6 avg) | ~$6/mo |
A handful of referrals chips away at a small bot plan. Twenty active referrals on typical plans is enough to cover a whole VPS or a comfortable Discord bot plan every month — indefinitely, as long as they stay. Refer people onto larger Minecraft servers and you get there faster.
Step 1: Find your referral link
Your link lives in your billing dashboard. Log in at billing.kerit.cloud, open the referral / affiliate section, and you’ll see:
- Your personal code (an 8-character code like
AB2C3DEF). - Your ready-to-share link, in the form
https://billing.kerit.cloud/register?ref=YOURCODE. - Live stats — how many people you’ve referred, and your pending and approved credit.
Copy the link. That’s what you share.
Step 2: Share it where your friends actually are
The link does the work — anyone who registers through it is tied to you automatically. Good places to share:
- The Discord servers you’re already active in (where self-promo is allowed).
- Your project’s README or docs, if other developers deploy something similar.
- A message to friends who keep asking how you host your bot.
Tip: Recommend the free tier first. Friends can start free with no card, and when they later upgrade to a paid plan, you still earn on every payment they make from then on.
Step 3: Your friend signs up and pays
For a referral to count, three things have to be true:
- They’re a brand-new user. The code is captured only at registration — existing accounts can’t be attached later. Make sure friends use your link before they make an account.
- They use your link or enter your code at signup. The
?ref=link does this for them. - They make a qualifying payment. Credit accrues from real, paid invoices.
Each person can be referred by one account, once. After that, every payment they make earns you 5%.
A quick word on fair play
Referrals are checked before credit is released, so the program stays sustainable for everyone who uses it honestly:
- No self-referrals. Referring your own second account doesn’t work — it’s blocked outright.
- No alt farms. Signups that share your device, IP, or network, or that come through VPNs/proxies in a burst, get flagged and held for review.
- Credit is reviewed, then approved. Earnings show as pending first and are approved by the team before they land in your wallet. Refer genuine people and this is invisible; try to game it and it simply won’t pay out.
The rule of thumb: refer real friends and real communities, and you’ll never think about any of this.
Creators and partners: apply for a higher rate
5% is the standard rate for everyone. If you have an audience — a YouTube channel, a large Discord community, a tutorial blog, or you make content where hosting comes up — you can apply for a custom partner rate that’s higher than 5%, plus perks like a vanity code and co-marketing.
To apply:
- Log in to your dashboard at billing.kerit.cloud and open the Support section.
- Open a new ticket and choose the partner / affiliate topic (or just title it “Partner rate application”).
- Tell us about your audience — where it is, roughly how big, and what you’d be promoting.
The team reviews partner applications individually and sets a rate that fits your reach. Prefer to chat first? Ask in our Discord or email sales@kerit.cloud, and we’ll point you to the ticket.
Important: Partner rates are arranged per account through a ticket — there’s no automatic upgrade. Applying takes a few minutes and there’s no downside to asking.
Frequently asked questions
Do I earn on every payment or just the first? Every qualifying payment, including renewals. As long as your referral keeps paying, you keep earning 5%.
What can I do with the credit? It’s applied automatically to your own invoices, lowering what you pay for your servers.
How many people can I refer? There’s no cap. Each of them must be a new user who signs up through your link.
When does the credit become usable? After the team approves the accrued commission — a quick anti-fraud check that protects the program.
